What book or books are you reading this week? We’d love to know!
I started The Beast of the North Woods by Annelise Ryan a couple of days ago, but I’m not too far along. Next up will be The Memory Library by Kate Storey.
Chasing Bright Medusas (NF-Biography) and Demon Copperhead (F)
Penitence by kristen Koval. So far a great murder mystery/family drama
I’m starting the week with The Elements of Marie Curie by Dava Sobel. I really enjoy science writing so this is right up my alley.
I read her Galileo’s Daughter several years ago & recall enjoying quite a lot. I’ll have to put this one on my list.
I read The Glass Universe which was very good also.
I am reading Night Watch by Jane Anne Phillips. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize. I am reading the Pulitzers one by one, have most of them completed.
Once you finish reading through pulitzer winners I’d love to know your favorites!
I really liked Night Watch and it has been nominated for my book club to read in 2025. It had such an original perspective on the war.
Creation Lake by Rachel Kushner
The Bog Wife. It’s unusual but so far the story is holding my attention.
I have started reading as well as listening to “Time of the Child” by Niall Williams. It hearkens of Patrick Taylor’s Country Doctor series. I am not much of a holiday book reader but I can tell this one is a winner for me.
I just started EVERY PRECIOUS AND FRAGILE THING by Barbara Davis.
I know it will be GREAT! I have loved every one of her books.
I DNF’d one book and am only doing a spotlight for another and did a very short review of one more. I can’t believe I even wanted to give them a try. LOL!!
Just finished A Good Life (Virginie Grimaldi) and Catbird (Julie Marie Davis), which I got as an ARC.
Currently reading The Starlets (Lee Kelly and Jennifer Thorne), Building Material (Stephen Bruno), and Sailing for Grace (Joseph Bauer).
I’m a big fan of hers. That one sounds terrific!
I’m reading The Cliffs by J. Courteney Sullivan. Makes me want to visit Maine!
Rereading Lincoln in the Bardo for bookclub, Unclobbered, The Mighty Red, Braiding Sweetgrass, and The Jinn Waits A Hundred Years
Just finished. Enjoyed it!
I haven’t thought about Lincoln in the Bardo in a long time - definitely a book that stays with you!
Jolene, do you read that many books at once? That’s quite a list!
