What book or books are you reading this week? Please share! We’d love to know.
I am reading No Better Time by Sheila Williams and West with Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge. Both are for the two book club I am in. I am also reading Outer Sunset by Mark Pothier who is a friend
Just started Becoming Madam Secretary (after finishing A Map to Paradise earlier in the week). So far it’s quite good.
Currently reading (and loving) Night Magic: Adventures Among Glowworms, Moon Gardens, and Other Marvels of the Dark by Leigh Ann Henion. I found myself drawn to nature stories lately (comfort reads) so Three Wild Dogs by Markus Zusak is likely next (just got it from the library!)
Just started reading Shelterwood by Lisa Wingate after listening to her online interview last night……she discussed both the book itself and the process of researching and writing it……I have read other books by Lisa and enjoyed them so that made my choice of Shelterwood as my next book an easy one!
Over the past week or so I been playing catch up reading the next books of several of my go-to series. Currently reading “Dead in a Frame” by Stephen Spotswood.
I am reading People of the book
I just started Darling Girls this afternoon. **
I’m finishing Three Days in June today and then starting Vera Wang’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers.
Finishing The Business Trip and starting The Frozen River. Also reading the electronic galley I was selected to read, The World’s Greatest Detective and Her Just Okay Assistant.
Just started reading Hester by Laurie Lico Albanese. I am reading it for a book challenge, plus I just loved the cover. The reading prompt for this month is to read a modern retelling of an old classic.
I just finished The Love Elixir of Agusta Stern by Lynda Cohen Loigman. It was a mostly light-hearted romance about some people in their 80s tattempting to find their HEA.
I’m reading Looking for Jane, by Heather Marshall. It’s terrific. And I recently finished 2 excellent books: Let’s Call Her Barbie, by Renee Rosen, and Becoming Madam Secretary, by Stephanie Dray.
Just finished The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern and enjoyed it.
Reading “Tell Me Everything” from Elizabeth Strout. One of the storylines is working better than the other.
@Dee_Hatcher is this a personal challenge, or a book group challenge, or …? Very curious about this!
Reading Becoming Madam Secretary. Top notch historical fiction! Looking forward to the discussion in a few weeks.
I started The River Knows Your Name yesterday and am already half way through it. I got the book from BookBrowse. It’s really great!
I really liked Becoming Madam Secretary and have recommended it to many. I learned so much about Francis Perkins and FDR, and it moved me to learn more.
I’m reading Lula Deans Little Library of Banned Books, and am finding it very good so far. Humorous at first, but clearly many messages being delivered.
I really like the way Elizabeth Strout writes. Oh, William and Tell Me Everything are in my TBR stack, but my favorite is still Olive Kitteridge.
