What are you reading this week? (02/27/2025)

I recently discovered the Book Girls Guide website. They have several yearlong challenges going and I am participating in The Book Lover’s Challenge, the Read Around the USA Challenge, and plan to do the Spring Mini Challenge. I’m just trying to get myself reading again after several difficult months.

It is really deep. I like what it is making me think about.

I really enjoyed this book too. Which storyline is working better in your opinion?

I LOVED Olive Kitteridge so much, too! I came to love the Lucy Barton storylines too, but longed for more Olive.

Yas! We need more Little Free Libraries like hers, don’t we?

I liked the legal drama better but Bob and Lucy’s personal life is really taking off, so I may have spoken too soon.

The God of the Woods.

I have just finished reading Time of the Child by Niall Williams. This book is a beautiful piece of prose and it is truly one of the best novels that I have read in several years. I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to reading his earlier work, including This is Happiness.

I loved Time of the Child, too.

I am going to pick up The Time of the Child from my holds list at the library and am so happy to hear it is good. Thanks for the recommendation on his earlier work too.

I hope you loved it as much as I did!

I’m 60% through the Queens of Crime and I just love this book. Four female crime authors unite to solve a murder mystery. The writing is superb and the story and the way the women track the potential perpetratrator, is just genius!
