I would recommend the book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery and doesn’t demand 100% believability. There are lots of us who enjoy a good yarn. This book is a very good yarn

I have a librarian friend that likes almost any book, quirky is fine and she loves mysteries. I would recommend to her but can’t think of anyone else. In some ways it felt YA, and that group might appreciate it more than us 60 year olds.

I completely agree with George. Anyone who read and enjoyed Black Widows by Cate Quinn will probably like this book. Sometimes you don’t want to deal with angst and dysfunction and complicated issues; you just want a good tall tale.

A good book for those who like fast moving mysteries. Yes I recently read a similar book, The Hunter’s Daughter by Nicola Solvinic. Anna Korey’s father was also a serial killer. I must say of the two books The Hunter’s Daughter was the better.

Recommend it to lovers of a good psychological thriller, perhaps someone with a fascination with serial killers this is a book for you. Green’s pacing is masterful, halfway through she introduces another pivotal character. Often that interrupts the storyline but not in this book. Her arrival offers fascinating insights to Gwen’s life, especially her early childhood and the time she spent at a boarding school. The ending. . . what a twist, cleverly done. Green’s character development is shrewd. She had no plot holes and left no loose threads for her readers. Its final pages are wrapped up with a very clever and satisfying punch.

I would recommend this book to mystery readers who like a twist in the end. I would not recommend it for young readers.

I would highly recommend to those who love psychological thrillers. I think readers who enjoy darker crime/mysteries would also appreciate this book. Anyone who is fascinated by serial killers and their family members would also be a good audience.

I think there is definitely a market for this type of book, a mystery with lots of murder and twists in the plot… I see a lot of shows streaming that follow this genre and I could see this being turned into a series on Netflix. I occasionally enjoy this type of book, but usually enjoy something a little more realistic. It is great for people who just like to read something quick and quirky.

Hi Susan. I am 52 and I felt the same way. I enjoyed the story, but the writing felt young to me.

I love thrillers, and especially psychological thrillers, but serial killer thrillers are a pretty specific niche. Same with cult thrillers. This felt like a little bit of both, and neither is really my thing. It was a good story, but I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone outside of those groups, also those who liked younger-geared (maybe older YA or new adult) books

For those who enjoy crime/mystery books, this would be a good option. I think some would be putt off with the killing/horrific nature of the story.
