Overall, what did you think of The World’s Greatest Detective and Her Just Okay Assistant? (No spoilers, please!)
I really enjoyed the book. It’s a cute cozy mystery with two great characters and a closed door mystery on top of that.
It was a charming book! Cozy mysteries aren’t usually for me but this was a quick read, and enjoyable to spend a little time with for sure.
I enjoyed the book and the by play between Merritt and Blunt. It reminded me somewhat of The Devil Wears Prada. The mystery was pretty good but I think could have been wrapped up better in the end rather than going over every single clue and suspect.
I enjoyed the book! I found it light and fun to read. I found myself pulled into the story pretty quickly but then later it did lag for me a little. But I was interested enough to finish.
I usually like first person narratives, but in this book I thought Olivia repeated the same information over and over to various characters.
While I liked most of the book, the last few chapters dragged a bit. Merritt’s “reveal” of the murderer was too long.
I 100% agree that Merritt’s “reveal” was way too long and could have been edited down.
I enjoyed this book. It showed humor and mystery in equal measure.
I enjoyed it. It was a fun read. I love cozy mysteries in general ,a nice treat from heavier reads. I enjoyed the relationship between Aubrey and Olivia.
I thought the book was an interesting story that provided me an opportunity to escape from the daily news, and I was invested in discovering the identity of the murderer. I enjoyed the main characters and the setting of the story. It sounds like a beautiful place.
I loved it. I thought it was well written, very good description of characters, well thought out plot, an enjoyable mystery read and I will recommend it to my friends.
The ending was a bit overdone, but interesting as it addressed every clue.
In general, I liked it. I agree with others that “the reveal” could have been a bit shorter. But that didn’t take too much away for me. This type of mystery (cozy?) is a type I do not read a lot. But it held my interest and I liked the writing style.
I truly loved the book and especially loved Olivia. Her character brought a lot of positive energy to the story.
I thought it was “just okay.” Perhaps I’m not fond of cozy mysteries - but I am puzzled as to what constitutes a cozy mystery.
I loved this book. The characters were great and the mystery was very fun. It was a fun read.
The book was good. I especially loved the characters and although I did not figure out the big reveal in the end, I wasn’t blown away by it either. It was a good, little cozy mystery.
It was an easy quick read. the characters were interesting but not very deep. It didn’t really blow me away.
I loved it! It was a great mystery with relatable characters. I really enjoyed how the relationship between Merritt and Blunt evolves while still acknowledging that neither of them are going to change much.
