Overall, what did you think of Haven’t Killed in Years? (no spoilers, please!)

I agree about the character development. I gave it 3 stars. I felt the writing improved throughout the book, the story started coming together. I will read Amy Green’s future books to see if she develops into a stronger writer.

I really enjoyed it. It was so well written, I was flying through the pages and I just couldn’t put it down!

It was a light, quick read and it kept me engaged. I enjoyed the writing style with a bit of humor in the dialogue and quirky characters. I could see it as a mini-series and I would read the author again.

It is not my normal genre at all, and I almost threw in the towell a few times….I thought the characters were hard to keep straight, and probably due to little character development. I thought the story was engaging, but also very hard to believe, I gave it a 3.5. The middle section gave me some hope for the rest of the story, but I thought the ending had lots of holes in it

I would give it 3 stars. I liked the plotting and the characters. I especially liked the juxtaposition between Gwen and Elyse. I did not really like the last big scene, but I think that is just a matter of personal preference. I have a hard time reading passages where a lot of action is happening all at the same time. It is hard for me to keep everything straight. I blame my 52-year-old post-menopausal brain. Her writing style did not really speak to me, though. I thought that it was a fun popcorn read, and I love a good thriller, but I don’t think it will stick with me very long.

I enjoyed it. I would give it 4 stars. It kept me thinking about who the killer was.

The story was well written, and it kept me curious and entertained. I liked the 2nd part of the book, where we learn more about Gwen’s past and how she deals with her situation after the main murder and after befriending Natalie, intertwined with the present. The 3rd part was quick, but I have to admit I didn’t like who the stalker turned out to be; it was too out of the blue for me. But I did like how, at the end, the surviving characters chose to see themselves as people making the right choices.

Overall, I would give it a 3.5 stars. It was definitely slow to start, but it did pick up mid to halfway through. I think the writing was overall very good. Although some of it was a little far-fetched at times.

It was just okay for me. I felt so much more could’ve been done with the premise. It drags at times.
