Have you read the author’s debut novel, My Sister, the Serial Killer, and if so, how do the two compare?
Yes. A similar style but this one is better.
Yes I read both but I found her first novel much better. This one seemed more predictable to me.
I have not read the author’s debut novel, but may read it at a later date since I enjoyed this book.
I haven’t, but I liked this one enough that I think I’ll probably pick it up at some point. It did win the Anthony Award for Best First Novel (the Anthonys are awarded by the Mystery Writers of America), so I’m thinking it would be worth a shot.
I have not read her debut novel but I plan to as I really enjoyed Cursed Daughters. I will also read her future books!
No, but I loved “Cursed Daughters” so much, it’s on my list to read!
I haven’t but would like to read this title. I wonder how the sister became a serial killer.
Yes, I read My Sister with my book club and we had a great discussion, so I was anxious to read Cursed. I think I liked Sisters more because the storyline was so unusual. It was a short novel, but it left a big impact on me as a reader.
No I didn’t know that she had another book. I will have to check it out. I love her writing.
I read it when it came out and I would say the writing styles are similar, I liked both novels. IBoth compare the complex dynamics of siblings and family although I believe Cursed Daughters had mute mother and daughter relationships and My Sisters was more about sibling relationships. If I remember right though the plot was quite series there was more humor in My Sisters than Cursed Daughters.
Yes, I did read her first novel, and I liked it much better than this one. It was more of a mystery with an unpredictable ending.
Yes, I loved her first novel, which is why I chose this one for last month, but I thought the first one was better. This was a bit sad and predictable but I was glad that Eniiyi was able to change her fate at the end and lead her own life on her terms.
I much preferred My Sister the Serial Killer. It was such a fun read!
I read both novels and remember finding the actions in MY SISTER, THE SERIAL KILLER at times shocking. I think it was the better novel.
I haven’t read it but adding it to my long TBR list now.
Yes I just finished the book. It was an interesting story about 2 sisters but I preferred the Cursed Daughters because I felt the plot was more intense.
I beginning to think I was the only one that felt this way about the two books!![]()
I did read the first book for a library book club. Unfortunately I did not like the book.
I enjoyed My Sister much more than this book.
