Gwen recalls her father telling her, “You cannot assume everyone is out to get you; you have to assume they want something from you…and their want is their weakness.” (pp 83-84). What’s your opinion about this advice? Do you think it served Gwen well, given the events that transpire?
I think it served her well at the end in dealing with Cody. She realized what he wanted and was determined not to give it to him. It ended up saving her and her friends.
