Why do you think readers gravitate towards books about books?

I think these books are popular because we want to see if we have read any to the same books. It is also a way to get books to read.

I believe we gravitate towards books about books because readers love everything book related. Readers can slip into the world of imaginary characters experiencing book-love like we do; the art and texture of the cover, the vanilla aroma of the pages, the complex storylines, perhaps a mystery, the relevant themes to one’s life, and the life or history of the book itself. Readers are kindred spirits and we connect with a passion even in a fictional world.

There seems to be many books about libraries and book at the moment. I did like reading what the characters/lessons learned though the books they referenced, Ir’s good to obtain another perspective or to have one’s own perceptive agreed with.

Book people love books, reading them, reading about them, sharing them, sometimes hoarding them (in a good way), discussing them. I like to know what kind of books people read because it lets me know more about them.

I love reading books about books. I like to see if I’ve read the same books and learn about other books that I would like to read.

I think people do look for books about books, bookstores, libraries becaues readers LOVE books! I really loved the list of books presented at Sally’s party and was happy to have read thtem all! I also think we are all hoping to find the next best read.

I especially liked the premise of using books to promote thinking of what would help the person the book was selected to read. The idea that there are letters from the giver was a great idea. I enjoyed this book immensely .
