I did not expect the mother Ned daughter to have the same lover.
I cannot believe I didn’t realize that Billy was alive.
The most obvious to me were Billy’s return and that Piers was not his father. I was surprised that Thirza and her mother had the same lover, but there were clues I just missed. I was very pleasantly surprised at the positiveness of Penny’s character.
I agree that this was obvious to me. Emilio kept want to tell Thirza something.

I thought Billy was Emilio’s child with Dulcie but I didn’t expect that Billy would come back.
I knew Emilio had a connection with one of her parents but was not positive initially whether it was Dulcie or Piers he was connected to. I knew Billy would return at some point but wasn’t sure how. I knew Columbine had secrets related to Billy. Probably most surprising was to learn Billy was living in America.
