Which of the characters in The Busybody Book Club would you most enjoy inviting to your own book club meeting?
I would invite them all, including the new-improved version of Nova. Diversity adds spice and all their varying perspectives would make for a lively discussion assuming we have a good moderator to draw out the quieter ones like Ash and control the more “passionate” ones like Phyllis. And of course, Craddock could come, too, so a well-ventilated space would be required.
Arthur–because the times I had men attend my book club were so enlightening & I loved getting a male viewpoint. Plus, I just loved him.
I agree with inviting them all! I thought they were such an interesting group of people.
Yes, I agree with the others on having all of them at a book club meeting but if I had to pick one it would be Phyllis because she has so much to say.
100% Arthur and Phyllis. Arthur would give valuable insight. Phyllis would just be a blast.
I would invite them all. The more the merrier to have wonderful conversations about the book we would be reading.
Definitely Arthur. Loved him.
I would love to invite them all. The group was made up of various age levels and I think it was great! Men!!! I agree they bring a new point of view that’s interesting. Our town librarian brought a group together that focused on a mandate HS required reading. It helped the students so much, but older bookclubbers got so much out of it too. Different ages…different perspectives.
I would like to invite them all as they were at the end of the book. I liked how they developed.
Phyllis would certainly be a talker, but might cause an uproar! I’d like Arthur and Ash to come as they would bring a different vibe to the group.
Most definitely Phyllis. I liked the way her mind worked and how even when she thought she might be wrong, she didn’t back down and keep looking for clues
Overall I would invite all of them but if i had to pick one it would be Nova…she was so interesting and quirky
I agree with all of them. That would be so much fun. They each have different personalities and perspectives.
I would definitely invite Arthur. I really enjoy his character- he’d be a fun person to have at bookclub.
I, too, would like all of the characters to be in my book club. The ones I have been in are all female and of the same age group. So to have different genders and ages certainly can bring a much more diverse view of the book that is being discussed. I would really enjoy that!
I would invite them all, I think that when you have different points of view you can only make your book club more entertaining and educational
