Whenever Lottie finds herself feeling particularly down, she fantasizes about killing Glenda, someone she interacts with often at her church. What did you think about this? Is it common, in your view, to imagine the death of someone you dislike?
I couldn’t believe what she fantasized about. I don’t think it’s common or normal to think about the death of someone you dislike.
I don’t think its very common to fantasize about killing someone you dislike… I cant honestly imagine killing anyone, myself.
Ok, I can believe we have all been upset with someone and then thought negative thoughts about them. We might even go so far as to feel that if something did happen to them, that it was Karma. But to wish their death, yikes, no! Better to just ignore them and try not to interact.

Lottie might have asked Glenda a few quip questions such as “And so?” “Why are you upset?” “Can you clarify your position, feeling, thoughts?”
Or just give Glenda a snarky eye look. Move on.
I think it was very in character for Lottie to fantasize about killing Glenda, and it was funny to read. I can’t imagine most of us walk around daydreaming about the death of someone we dislike, but I can imagine a serial killer like Lottie doing it.
Not common, but maybe that’s what serial killers do. Fantasizing about the next kill gives Lottie a high. Yuck. But I think the interaction between Lottie and Glenda was funny and provided some levity between the murders.
Glenda was another pest swirling around Lottie.
