What was your reaction to Dory’s story and how Lottie reacted to Dory’s actions? What would you have done if you’d been in Lottie’s shoes?
What Dory did was despicable, but now she’s pregnant and if Lottie tells the truth, she will be a single mother. I suppose Lottie and Josh could either have taken the baby or somehow made a home for both Dory and the baby, but Lottie knew Dory would probably not accept either so she made the decision to leave.
I don’t know that I would have been as forgiving. Whatever Dory told Josh, I would have had real difficulty accepting that he believed her lies - and then slept with her. So maybe, the relationship with Lottie and Josh was actually beyond repair at that point.
It was horrible what Dory did to Lottie and what Lottie did in response was so unbelievably loving and kind to Dory. I am sorry I do not think I would be so loving and kind!
What Dory did was awful and unforgiveable, in my opinion. I think I would have told both Dory and Josh how angry I was with each of them. Then I would have “disappeared”, like Lottie did. I would not have wanted either in my life again and I would have wanted their child to be free of this situation.
Lottie decided to forgive Dory eventually. I think that forgiveness was good for both of them. I would have hoped to be like Lottie.
I was shocked! Lottie made the right decision to leave.
I was stunned to learn what Dory had done and found it to be despicable. Again, this story line showed once more what an incredible human being Lottie was in letting Dory “win” so to speak. I could not have held my tongue. I would have confronted both Josh and Dory. The forgiveness that Lottie found was far better than living with hatred, but mercy I’m pretty sure I would have been holding a grudge for a very long time.
