I honestly thought it would come out as an accidental death. I realize it was a mystery but it just seemed like maybe this book would be more about the investigation and coming to terms with her mother’s death than how she died.

I agree with Laura_C’s comment above. I thought it would be ruled an accident and that the intent was to focus on the investigation and how Leah (and the investigation) may have helped Niamh come to terms with losing her mother suddenly.

It seemed to me like it would turn out to be a murder.

The circumstances and conditions led me to question Annie’s death; therefore I accepted the idea she was murdered.

I thought it was accidental until the discussion about her shoulder, which ruled out her ability to move such a heavy ladder. I enjoyed the red herrings and the concept of the investigation as a way to handle grief.

I thought it would be a murder. The title How to Kill a Crime Writer, yes a murder mystery.

I thought it would always be a murder as this was written as a mystery. I would have been extremely disappointed if it turned out to be an accident.

I at first thought accident, then I thought, Carol, it would not be a book if it wasn’t a murder involved. Really didn’t take much thought on my part, however, I was really bored with how long it took to get the final results. Too long in part for this reader.

It seemed very unlikely to be accidental death. I was expecting it to be murder.

I assumed it was a murder simply because of the genre. The author raised too many questions about the “accident” to ignore the possibility of murder.

I thought it was an accident, then thought it was murder because Leah was convinced it was. Then towards the end of the book when they still hadn’t solved it, I thought it could be a clever trick of the author to make us believe it was murder all along, then have it be an accident.
