What plot twist in Jane and Dan surprised you the most?

What plot twist surprised you the most?

I think Sissy being one of the terrorists was the most surprising. I cannot imagine seeing one of my children in that situation. It is also the twist that finally got mr interested in the story. It was slow reading for me until then. But once that came in could not stop

I think the fact that her publicist was in on it was the thing that shocked me the most.

I also was surprised that Sissy was involved. I was also surprised when we realized the reason the terrorists came to the restaurant.

When Dan and eventually Jane recognized Sissy was one of the terrorists. What a dilemma for a parent.

I agree with everyone who said that finding out Sissy was one of the terrorists was what was most surprising.

Having Sissy be a terrorist was a surprise, but the book publicist was the one that really shocked me. I understand when young people get involved in actions or causes without thinking through the full ramifications of their actions. But an adult thinking of terrorism as a way to sell books was a what the heck moment for me.

Definitely did not see the Sissy plot twist. I had to flip back a few pages and re-read to make sure it was accurate! Very well done!

The most surprising was Sissy was one of the terrorists. Both parents can’t understand how their daughter got mixed up with a group that is threatening others.

It was unbelievable that Sissy was there and involved. What a story twist. Then the publicist angle was also strange. I guess anything to sell a book and make money!

Definitely Sissy being with the terrorists for sure.

I found it interesting that Dan was the parent who actually realized that the “woman “ terrorist was his daughter.

Like most of the others, I was surprised to read about the daughter being part of the group. I liked the twist of the editor being a part of the scheme, but wasn’t surprised by it—people go to great lengths to get publicity!

I agree. The fact that Sissy was one of the terrorists was not something I saw coming!

Like everyone I was surprised by the appearance of Sissy. But more surprising was the fact that she was really the brains behind the whole operation. I loved her decision at the end of the book about going to Stanford. “Maybe I will.”
