What genre do you want to explore more of?
I really want to get back into the classics. There are so many I still want to read.
I would like to read more Climate Fiction. But with the current political unrest, I find myself reaching for more comforting reading. Maybe that’s a cop out? But right now I need escape.
I would love to see book recommendations with regards to climate fiction. That is definitely another area of interest but like you, I have been doing a lot of comfort reading!
@Holly_Batsell and @Gabi_J, you probably already know this but BookBrowse does have a category for that:
(The link says “General Fiction” but if you click it, you’ll see it’s drilled down a bit.)
It includes more than climate-specific books (the topic is “Nature & Environment”) but I think you might be able to find some that would fit the bill - when you’re ready. Totally get the whole “comfort reading”/escapism needed right now.
Thanks for the guidance on that. I’ll check it out!
I always forget and yet, I think that is where I learned about The Parrot and the Igloo. Thanks for the reminder!!!
Funny, that you should say that! I just started reading Jane Eyre which was chosen by my very small book group ( 5 of us). I am about 30 % through the book, and am enjoying it. We debated between Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre, and decided on the latter after I read that Jane Eyre was a bit easier to read. There promises to be the potential for some interesting and timely discussions!
