What did you think of the BookBrowse Top 20 list this year? How many have you read, and which was your favorite?
I’ve read twelve of them, and own another three that I hope to get to soon.
There are several on this list that I thought were stellar, but the biggest surprise was This Here is Love by Princess Joy L. Perry. I actually think the title is somewhat off-putting, and I expected a romance, so I wasn’t looking forward to reading it. But I quickly discovered it was exceptionally moving historical fiction covering a time period I really wasn’t that familiar with.
One of my top books from last year, The Antidote by Karen Russell, was snubbed by y’all, LOL.
I have read three. Time of the Child I absolutely loved. I have had seven on my digital shelf and are just waiting for me to read.
I’ve read six of them - Raising Hare was #1, with the Correspondent a close #2. Time of the Child was my 2024 #1.
I read 8 of the books that were listed. I recently finished Time of the Child that other readers have mentioned and enjoyed. It was especially delightful to read during the holiday season because of the parallels with the Christmas story.
I’m waiting for This Here is Love. Based on your review, Kim, I’m looking forward to story.
