What did you think of Omelogor’s “Dear Men” column? Did you agree or disagree with any of the advice she gave? Which bits?
I loved this part of the book. Omelgor seemed to me to be right on with what men could do to improve their relationships with women.
I found those sections remarkably insightful.
I loved the “Dear Men” columns! I found them humorous, yet spot on. They served to break up the text a bit, and also to provide commentary on what was happening in the main text. The columns kind of reminded me of the chorus in Shakespearean’s stories. The chorus was a group of people who would comment on what was happening.
I was actually puzzled by why this was included in the book. I didn’t think it added anything to the book or our ability to understand Omelogor.
She was surprisingly open and candid with her column. I really enjoyed reading her advice. I think many men could benefit from getting this kind of women’s view point from someone other than their own significant other or family member.
I thought it was very clever to introduce this segment in the life of Omelogor.
More men could benefit from this kind of friendly advices.
