I think this could be YA as well as adult level and for readers who like historical fiction based on true events. I can’t remember an historical fiction book I read that was told through letters. I believe one of Ruth Ware’s books was told through letters - I read that and found it a good story.

Writing style similar to The Correspondent, but I truly enjoyed Dear Missing Friend - the actual story was better - at least for me. A bonus was finding out the people were real!

Will also recommend this one to my book club, as well as When No One Else Will. Both books have lots and lot os topics to generate good conversations.

I believe anyone interested in historical novels would find this interesting. It reminded me of the book The Correspondent which is all letters also. I highly recommend.
