I am currently reading “The Loneliness of Sonia and Sonny” by Kiran Desai. I’m on page 200 of 650+ and cannot put it down. This is shaping up to be a five-star sprawling epic masterpiece.

I agree would like a hard copy of this book. However, I just noticed the Kindle version today (12/24) is only 2.99. Just an fyi.

Wow! Thanks for the tip, Gabi! How did you find out about the price? It was $12.99 yesterday. I was thinking about getting the digital copy as well - for a backup - so that was perfect!
OK, so I just gotta say — you look at the book bar at the bottom of this page and you see all these feel-good reads… and King of Ashes, which couldn’t be less of a feel-good read. Hahaha. The visual just cracks me up. (“One of these things… is not like the other… one of these things just doesn’t belong…” Was that from Sesame Street?)

I just finished Murder in Minature by Katie Tietjen, her second novel. She is a librarian in our local high school. It’s a nice mystery and I enjoyed reading it. I’m also reading The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong and think it will be good. Lastly I’m reading Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite which I received from Bookbrows. I’m having a little trouble with this one.

I am reading Long Island by Colm Toibin. I watched Brooklyn to refresh my memory. Now I have the looks of the actors while reading the second part of Eilis Lacey story.
