Remember by Lisa Genova. I am finding this so readable and fascinating. and I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue. Quirky, funny, sad.

I’m about halfway through The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny by Kiran Desai and loving it. It’s on the longlist for the Booker Prize and is also nominated for the Kirkus Prize, so I expected it to be entertaining and I have not been disappointed.

In audiobook format, I just finished Octavia Butler’s Parable of the Sower, and WOW, what an amazing novel! If you read post-apocalyptic fiction and haven’t read this one yet, you MUST pick it up. I started the sequel, Parable of the Talents, this morning.

Edit: The narrator just quoted their current president as saying, “Help us make America great again!” - and this was published in 1998!

I’m just finishing Shelterwood by Lisa Wingate. John Steinbeck’s The Moon is Down is waiting in the wings to tide me over until the library calls to tell me The Satisfaction Cafe by Kathy Wang is waiting for me.

Train Dreams (just finished) by Denis Johnson. A novella that felt as though the story was conjured in a dream! Poignant and impactful.

Also reading, nearly finished with The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.

I am reading THE SECRET OF ORANGE BLOSSOM CAKE by Rachel Linden.

Oh…I am loving it.

It is set in Italy - so the setting, the food, and the characters are wonderful.

The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins and Oceans by Sir David Attenborough and Colin Butfield.

I just finished reading Sipsworth. And a great big thank you to everyone in the forum who mentioned this book as a worthy read. You were not wrong! I have just downloaded and started reading Run for the Hills by Kevin Wilson.

Kiran Desai is a new author for me. I just took a look at some of the past titles and description and can understand why you enjoy this author. I’ve just placed a hold on The Inheritance of Loss.:green_heart:

I just now realized the mention of Desai titles began with you and continued on with Maria (to whom I responded). I so very much delight in learning about new authors from members of this community and appreciate your consistent, reliable contributions.
