What are you reading this week? (7/17/2025)

I just finished today The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fry and it was delightful. I’ve started How to Read a Book by Monica Wood. And I’m listening to My Friends by Fredrick Backman.

I am reading the most wonderful galley called “The Genius Bat.” It’s nonfiction and the author makes you feel as if you’re there with him and his various research partners. Lots of great info about echolocation. Yes, bats do it but other animals do as well. I’m about 60% through right now and will read anything else author Yossi Yovel ever writes.

How to Read a Book is one of my favorites!

Busy week here so I needed a page-turner for my free moments. Currently reading The Ghostwriter by Julie Clark and enjoying it so far!

Oh I did read about this book and I want to read. Glad you are liking it. I can’t even imagine how they did it.

Just finished Daniel Silva’s latest and it was really fun - more like a caper! Now I am reading “The Cardinal” by Alison Weir about Thomas Wolsey - fascinating. I am listening to Ian Rankin’s “Song for The Dark Times.” My husband and I are huge fans of his Inspector Rebus books.

All the Colors of the Dark is a brilliant book. An all time favorite of mine now.

Just started This Here Is Love, by Princess Joy L. Perry. A BookBrowse first impressions book.
Just finished The Names, by Florence Knapp, and really enjoyed it. Can’t believe it’s a debut.

I enjoyed The Ghostwriter.

I loved this book. I chose it for my book club pick and looking forward to discussing it.

I’m in two book clubs and in one of them we did read it.

I think that I am going to recommend it to my book group also! I found it to be very well written and knowing that it is based on a real woman’s life added to my amazement .

@Laurie_L, @Jill, @Antoinette_B, @Susan_C …uh, which book are we talking about now? I’m so confused, LOL.
