My Friends by Fredrik Backman
Trying to finish The Chosen Queen by Sam Davey.
Also reading Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn, and about to reread A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson.
@Jill Allegra Goodman will be here next week. I hope if you (and everyone else here!) will drop in & ask a question or two if you have a few minutes.
Carol_Ann_Robb I just finished listening to My Friends, and it’s a brilliantly written work by Fredrik Backman. Hope you enjoy it!
Elizabeth, so far I’m really enjoying it. Not too far into yet. Julia is just on plane to Milan.
Ok…keep me updated.
Being set in Italy was a PLUS.
I e just finished The Man Made of Smoke by Alex North & A Killing Cold by Kate Marshall. Loved them both
Last week I said I was reading Darker Than the Sky and was having difficulty getting into it, but would finish it. Hate to admit it, but I gave up. Just finished Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger and the title is so appropriate for this book. Despite being a mystery, there is such a quiet beauty to this book.
Still listening to The 1619 Project.
I am reading Somewhere Between Luck and Trust by Emilie Richards
I just finished Wally Lamb’s new book, The River is Waiting. I could not put this book down. I am a HUGE fan of Wally Lamb and this book may be ( in my opinion) his best work. I actually need a few days to process the effect this book has had on me.
I am reading The Sequel after finishing The Plot. Both books are amazing page turners.
I just finished Remarkably Bright Creatures. I’m reading Marble Hall Murders as an ebook and No Strangers Here in paperback
I started KING OF ASHES by S.A. Cosby yesterday…hate that I have to put
it down. He describes his characters so perfectly, you can really see them.
There’s plenty of action and always a big problem to be solved.
I’ve read a few of that author’s books now, Dotti, and I really like them a lot. They’re pretty harsh at times but his characters are excellent, and the plots always draw me in. I’ll have to put that one on my list.
I am reading Aftertaste by Daria Lavelle. Have about 80 pages remaining so should finish tonight. Curious to see how this story ends. I am listening to Project Hail Mary on audio. It was recommended by so many to listen to this one and it has been so great. I will be re-reading Crooked House by Agatha Christie next as it is the June Read Christie selection. Finally I have Razorblade Tears by SA Crosby set to read after Christie.
I recently attended an author event of Wally Lamb and started his book The River is Waiting. Tough topic, but can’t put it down. I also have JoJo Moyes We All Live Here from Libby and reading on my iPad.
Just finished Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and am almost finished with Beartooth by Callan Wink. Up next, Fox by Joyce Carol Oates.
I’m reading The Great Divide by Cristina Henriquez
I’m reading Fulfillment by Lee Cole.
Having a hard time getting into it though.
Just finished Beyond Dorothy and loved it.
I’m reading Fulfillment by Lee Cole but having a hard time getting into it.
Just finished Before Dorothy by Hazel Gaynor - loved it.
And The English Masterpiece by Katherine Reay - interesting mystery.
