Were there any plot twists that surprised you? If so, which ones?
I was most surprised at Carl Carter playing a role at the end. I had almost forgotten about him. Also, I loved that “the thief” showed up in many ways. The vicar, Ben, Jackson, Reggie…I found them all delightful.

For a few pages, Carl Carter’s appearance at the end seemed almost too convenient. But having Carl’s actions intersect with Ben’s story was a good way to wrap up the rest of Carl’s story. And yes, I did not see the the “thief” plot twist coming at all.
