OMG…Take a wonderful novel and end it with at least one tedious epilogue. I admit I skimmed Epilogue 2 and then read several different versions of cliff notes to fill in the gaps.

Wow, we’ve now got two critical takes on that final epilogue. Yeesh! I’m really not looking forward to it.
IT IS FINISHED!!! Sorry for shouting but that last part was every bit the slog some of you had said. During the early part of E2 (epilogue 2) I thought I was following he concept of leaders vs followers. Then I googled it and discovered I had exactly backwards. 
He completely lost me on the concept of free will and it felt like he was contradicting himself in some ways. I’m terribly glad the rest of the book was relatively safe from his opining. E2 felt like I was reading words without meaning. Did anyone take away anything of relevance from this section that you care to share? Any philosophers in our group?
