I don’t know anyone personally that I would recommend this book to, but there is a big reading audience out there who loves this genre. Kudos to the author for tapping into it.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves sarcasm and has a “darker” sense of humor. I have already recommended it to my partner, who is enjoying it too.

Definitely for an adult reader and I would agree with Melissa there is some dark humor. As a senior I found the way she addressed aging interesting. A lot of people in my age group seem to be more like people used to be in their 50s active and engaged. Then again some people are old before their time. I found this to be a good summer read.

This is a tough one to recommend. I would need someone with a darker sense of humor and someone who is comfortable in the absurdity of the plot. Truly a book for specific readers rather than a general mystery audience.

Definitely an adult book, especially for those who like darker characters with a dash of sarcasm.

I think this book is good for all ages 18 and above. Everyone has or has had a Gramma, or mother, of Lottie’s age. Knowing it is a murder mystery, fiction and a fantasy is enough to categorize it.

It was not one of my favorite reads. Don’t think I will recommend to others, however I will put it in my free library and see how long it stays there or is selected.

Definitely 65 and up would relate to the saner thoughts of Lottie’s as you age. I think any age would appreciate the black humor of the story. She was sort of an elderly Dexter.

I would and have recommended this book to thriller lovers who enjoy a twisty story that is unique, extremely clever, and deftly crafted. Samantha Downing never disappoints and this book has received well-deserved rave reviews for being inventive and sneakily thought-provoking. Because at its core it is a meditation about aging and, more particularly, what women experience as they age. We become invisible. Who would ever suspect Lottie? The book is brilliant and I’m shocked that so many people participating in this discussion wouldn’t recommend it. :star::star: :star: :star: :star:
