To what audience would you recommend The World’s Greatest Detective and Her Just Okay Assistant? Is there another book or author you feel has a similar theme or style?
I think this is a perfect book for anyone who likes the cozy mystery genre or who likes Agatha Christie style murder mysteries.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries. They might enjoy reading The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series or Elizabeth Peters’ books.
I agree with recommending it to someone who likes cozy mysteries.
I recommend the book to anyone ready for just a light really fun mystery. A similar book that I felt the same about is Jan and Dan At the End of The World.
I agree with Paula, it did remind me of Jan and Dan at the End of the World. the author uses a light tone even though the topic is multiple murders. Another book it reminded me of was Too Old For This by Samantha Downing.
This book is another good one for readers of cozy mysteries. I would hope that the next book starts a little faster than this one did.
I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys mystery novels that contain a touch of humor (some of the ways Olivia describes things made me laugh out loud in the midst of a serious mystery). I’d also recommend it to anyone who enjoys quirky characters.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a light, easy to read mystery. It’s perfect for a rainy day, beach vacation or when you’re decompressing from an intense book!
This is a bit of a cozy mystery. Nothing too graphic. Overall, I liked the book, but consider it a “beach read” type of book. The writing was great and I liked the main characters, but it didnt really grab me like some mysteries do.
It definitely was a beach read type for me. A book you could pick up and spend a few hours with while enjoying some leisure time. I so enjoyed the banter between Merritt and Olivia so I was drawn to their newly formed relationship.
Yes, this book reminds me of “The mostly true story of Tanner and Louise” - for those who haven’t read it - you should! It’s really good.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good detective mystery but with a lighter touch.
I don’t know I think it could be a good, easy read for any age!
I would reccomend this to people who enjoy cozy mystrries. I think it not one of the light cozies, I would recomend it to readers of Thursday Mystery Club
