I consider this a general fiction with a tiche of history & romance added to the mix.

Readers who like light fiction.

Is there a category we could call “romance light?” Seriously, I’m not a romance fan, but I did enjoy this book. I was drawn in by the detail of the period, as historical fiction. I think anyone who likes historical fiction, especially books set in the UK, would enjoy this book. And I am a bookshop theme groupie!

I would call this historical light romance fiction,

I would call this a cozy historical fiction with a bit of mystery. It has a lot of interest for various readers.

Since I was not impressed with the storyline, I would not recommend it to any group. The book’s style, even though it was set in the late 1800’s, often used modern language of 2000’s. I found it asking where’s the editor???

General historical fiction with light romance and light mystery.

I would reccomend it to someone who is looking for a light, easy beach read. Was disappointed it was considered historical fiction. I think you need more than a general time period to put it in that category. And maybe have more to do with books and a bookshop if that is in the title.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical romance.

Great for those who like light romance and historical books. The setting in a book store helps. I would consider this a cozy - for many a palette cleanser between true crime or thrillers. It definitely has it’s niche.
