I won’t recommend this book as there are so many, many fine novels waiting to be read.

I would definitely recommend this for a cozy reader. It is set in a small village with interesting characters and cats. Lots of red herrings and clues throughout.

Someone who just needs a fast read, nothing heavy. Just to relax. It was not a favorite but I am not sorry I read it.

I would recommend this book to someone who is fluent in scottland slang and to someone who would enjoy a cozy quick read

I think the audience for this book would be 20 to 40 year olds who like a little more of a rough cut approach to a story.

This book didn’t appeal to me. I’m probably 40-50 years too old to be its target audience since I didn’t identify with, understand or like any of the main or secondary characters. I did have some sympathy for the characters after reading the author’s note though.

I really enjoyed reading How to Kill a Crime Writer by Sarah Lotz. From the very beginning, the story pulled me in and kept me guessing until the very end. I love a good mystery, and this book had just the right mix of suspense, humor, and unexpected twists to keep me turning the pages.

What I liked most was that it wasn’t a typical murder mystery. The characters felt real, and I enjoyed following Niamh as she tried to uncover the truth about her mother’s death. Every time I thought I had figured out what was going to happen, the story surprised me with another twist.

Sarah Lotz does a great job balancing mystery with emotion, making the story about more than just solving a crime. The writing was easy to follow, the pacing was excellent, and I never found myself getting bored. It was one of those books that made me want to read “just one more chapter.”

Overall, I thought How to Kill a Crime Writer was a fun, clever, and entertaining read. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys mystery novels with interesting characters, plenty of suspense, and a few surprises along the way. It’s a book I’m glad I picked up, and I would happily read more by Sarah Lotz in the future.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this, although it’s not my typical type of mystery. I would recommend it to younger (maybe 20-40ish) readers who enjoy a bit of a fantasy in their mysteries.

I was not that crazy about this book and its contents. I probably would not recommend it to any of my fellow readers or book clubs members. I will simply put out in my free library and hopefully someone will enjoy better than I did.

I think someone who would enjoy this book is a reader who likes an unreliable narrator because we did see a lot of back and forth dialogue from Niamh and this “ghost”. I think YA would like this book if they want a cozy read and nothing too bloody or explicit.
