The Lilac People just won a Lammy!

The Lambda Literary Awards (affectionately known as the Lammys) are the most prominent and comprehensive literary honors dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ storytelling in the United States. Established in 1989, they recognize exceptional books that illuminate the queer experience across more than 25 categories, including fiction, memoir, poetry, and young adult literature.

This year’s awards were announced on June 12, and The Lilac People by Milo Todd won the Transgender Fiction award. We read The Lilac People for the BookBrowse Book Club, and Milo was a guest here for a Q&A.
