The community center is vital to the St. Tredock community. Are there any similar spaces that are the heart of your own community?

Well I would consider our public library a heart of our community. We have so many group programs for all interests
and ages and it is a great way to connect. I recently moved into the community and have found so many new friends and a sense of connection with the community.
@Lynne_Brosch , I definitely agree on the library. We have a couple of others spaces, but none like the library. I live in a rural area, so we don’t have some of the resources that the bigger cities have.
I wish there was someplace like that here. I can’t think of a single third place, but would love one.
The library in town is the focal point of the community because it caters to all ages and the events definitely vary. The senior citizens center is another place. It offers courses mainly for senior citizens but once a week it will hold under 18 events!
In my small town the library and senior center are in the same building and I go to both nearly every day. Both places have book clubs and other activities that appeal to a wide spectrum.
I agree with community libraries and senior centers being similar spaces. Also, I think the YMCA in our area is a somewhat similar place. It serves people of all ages and backgrounds. There are so many different activities to get involved with, as well as exercise equipment to use. In my experience, everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. The difference would be that there is a modest cost involved, although many seniors like me have it included with our health insurance.
I to agree that our library is the center hub of my community. It is used by every age group. From atory time, tutoring, book sales and book club meetings. We have a great program that brings the whole of our community together in a book discussion. Picked by our librarian each month we are on the same page. Discussion is focused and thought provoking.
Yes we have a very unique senior center that has so many different offerings for the seniors of our city, both educational and social/engaging services

Our library. Bake sales, raffles,book clubs, movie nights and much more. I love it. Something for everyone to enjoy and learn.
