Hi @EastOfEden folks! With apologies to those who have already read the novel, I think it will probably be best to open this as a side read on November 15. People are welcome to jump in with their comments at any point after that time. I will be dividing this topic into several subtopics: Overall, what did you think; Part 1; Part 2; Part 3; Part 4. Dividing it up will allow those who are chunking it to post as they read, while the “Overall” topic will allow posts about the book in general for anyone to post, particularly those who’ve already read the book and may not have comments that are related to a specific part.
And speaking of chunking…the book has four parts, each of which is about 150 pp long. For those interested in reading a little bit at a time, I’m suggesting one part per week - about 20 pp per day.
So:
Part 1, November 15 - November 21
Part 2, November 22 - November 28
Part 3, November 29 - December 6
Part 4, December 7 - December 13
