Absolutely agree that there are far too many books relative to the time available to consume them. But in the end, I think it helps to make me a more discerning reader because I have to make hard choices nearly every step of the way about whether or not I truly want to read this book or that book. And if a book doesn’t hold my interest, I’m on to the next one, out of the sheer desire to read as many truly satisfying books as possible and not spend my time on the ones that aren’t.
