Reading List Updates

Hi all, today we made some significant updates to how the reading list functionality works across BookBrowse - now you can easily see if you’ve added a book to your reading list from any bookbrowse page, and you can also easily add a book to your reading list in two clicks without navigating away from any BookBrowse page.

While we know other reading list solutions exist, we wanted to make it easier for you to catalog books you’re excited about while browsing BookBrowse.com, and you can export this list to other platforms as well.

We also updated the reading list category names to better align to commonly used language (like “To Be Read” instead of “Must Read”).

If you see anything that looks wonky, or if you have any suggestions for how to make the reading list functionality more useful please let us know!

This is part of the larger project of combining reading list ratings w/ our reader ratings and allowing users to add book pages to BookBrowse so you can see what other BookBrowsers think of the books!

I do a lot of toggling back-and-forth from Book Browse to my iPad and to Libby so naturally I love the idea of being able to export the reading list. This is a great new feature that I’m sure will be much utilized by Book Browse members. Thank you!

I LOVE my reading list. As the years go by it gets harder for me to remember if I actually read the book that is tempting me to read again The list jog my memory and reminds me that I not only read the book, but how many stars I gave it.
