Read a book that has been on your TBR list for more than a year.
For this prompt I read America’s First Daughter. It’s been on my TBR list forever. I’m glad I finally got around to reading it. I think I spent as much time googling about the historical events as I spent reading. I’d definitely recommend this and A Founding Mother: A Novel of Abigail Adams by the same authors. I liked A Founding Mother a little bit better than America’s First Daughter, but they were both great books.

The Stardust Grail (4 out of 5)
This sci-fi opera by Yume Kitasei hasn’t been on my TBR as long as other books, however, it was the change of pace I needed. Cross-species friendships and foes, out-of-this-world adventures, galactic intrigue, and a time sensitive mission made for a fast-paced and engaging read. I am looking forward to reading her other two books.

This is a wonderful family saga that starts out with a kiss at a christening party and ends up with two dysfunctional families, with six children among them.

I could have selected so many books for this prompt! Books are in stacks, just waiting for me.
I selected The Art of a Lie by Laura Shepherd-Robinson. This is the second book that I have read of hers. These are heavily researched historical fiction with VERY complex plots. The author is very well known in England but has yet to break through in the US.
I really liked the book, but it is one you must pay attention and as you can tell from the title lots of people are going to give you false information. Fun fact from the book, Henry Fielding, the author, developed what later became the British police force! And yes, he is an investigator in the book!
