Thanks Anne! No surprises there! What do you think it is about The Correspondent that has hit such a chord with folks?
I have no idea. It was not for me because I tend to like books a little darker and edgier. It just seemed to be a perfect storm of elder character, epistolary, and growing word of mouth. The last book I recall coming out of nowhere like this was Dan Brown’s DaVinci Code. There have probably been others since then. Which ones do you think took off in such an unexpected way?
I am so happy for Virginia. Had the pleasure of seeing her last year in CT and getting my book signed. I had already read it but just wanted to own this lovely book. Would I have loved it as much if I were 40, not sure but it resonated with this 83 year old.
