Overall, what did you think of The Ghostwriter? (no spoilers, please!)

I enjoyed the Ghostwriter. It did have some good twists and turns in it which kept my attention. I thought the murder of Poppy was odd. She was forgiving Danny for the stabbing while he was stabbing her. His personality never came together for me and felt real. I also never could quite buy into the idea of the teacher murdering them since he had a whole career of that type of behavior. It felt muddled to me.

Same here. A slow start.

I thought it ended with a bang.

Always fun to get hooked right from the start.

A bit of a slow start for me, but I enjoyed it. It picked up and kept me hooked after the initial opening.

I liked the book and thought it was engaging. I agree it may have started a bit slow but it did take off. I wanted to keep reading to find out more about all the characters as they all had complicated stories. I think the POV approach helped make this book.

I couldn’t put it down! It gripped me from the very first page. I was always curious about ghostwriters and the concept behind it, so it was nice to get a look into the life of one and how they work. The story itself kept me guessing everyone and everything!

I loved this story. There were so many tidbits hidden in every chapter from the get go. I feel like I need to reread it to pick up on the clues I know I missed in the beginning. This book was its own kind of treasure hunt and the perfect slow burn.

While, i’m not sure it was as good as The Lies I Tell, I did like it. I like the atmospheric quality of it..kind of spooky…the house, the woods, the murders..almost storytime around the campfire vibe. Clark does a great job building plot but at times it’s a little too slow. Her real gift is in creating realistic characters. They are never perfect and always relatable.

I agree with other comments that it started out slow but the ending was a big surprise! I’m glad that I didn’t quit reading it early.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and would recommend to those who want a weekend read with mystery and family drama.

I enjoyed this book. This is my second by Clark and I think she develops characters very well and her plots have good substance.

Overall, I enjoyed all the twists and turns in the book, but felt the end fell a little flat. I would recommend the book to others.

I thought that it had a rather slow start, but once I fully got into it, I really enjoyed this one. It had excellent character development and there were lots of twists and turns along the way that kept me on the edge of my seat.

I enjoyed the book. It took a little time for me to get the personalities down, but once I got the jest of who was who, the book was a fast read and one that you wanted to keep reading. What was going to happen next, or what had happened and now you read to find out more. Loved the research Olivia was doing and what she was learning.

Overall, I did enjoy the book. I think the romantic interest (?) was a
distractor…they just didn’t seem to be ‘together’ on much of anything.
“Tom/Tim/Whoever” could have been left out…added nothing.

I did enjoy the mystery, and even the back and forth, The movement really helped to develop the characters and move the plot along.

A slow start, and was debating a DNF but powered through and wound up enjoying the ending
