I was happy to see Nikki grab at the opportunity to leave DC and start a new life. Without Mother Rita she probably would never been able to do that.

I think it’s great as this gesture helps remove some of the tension from the legacy into empowerment when it might have initially despite her love for her family felt a bit of a burden. Now instead of inheriting only responsibility, she inherits possibility.

Her new life will be amazing. I am so happy for her. Her garden shop will be a dream come true.

Um, let’s just say I could foresee something like this happening from the very beginning? Her decision to move to NC really wasn’t surprising.

I thought it was a satisfying ending. Nikki was more like her grandma than her mom. She found peace on Happy Land ground and of course, Bryan was there to help her settle in!

It wasn’t a big surprise, but I still liked the ending. I thought it was plausible. After researching everything and helping keep the land in the family, it made sense that Nikki might want to move there. Oh, and there’s always Bryan!

Yes, we could see this coming, but I was glad to see she opened a nursery rather than just move there and not utilize the land to her advantage.

I expected that Nikki would stay in Happy Land and not return to D.C. Many of us need a more grounded life than that offered by an urban environment.

I was very happy for Nikki. She now has an exciting future while gaining strength from her family’s past. I liked how in the story Mother Rita and Luella were planning for their children’s and grandchildren’s future. It gave them a goal to work towards. I am close in age to Nikki so it was cool to read about someone starting new.
