Like Walt, if you thought you had only 25 years to live and suffered from a debilitating disease, how many years of good health would make a Reset worth it?

Great question. I’m not sure. As someone who has been blessed to be pretty healthy unlike Walt I don’t know what it must feel like to be in a debilitating condition. But I would think taking even a year to feel better might be worth it. So 25 years sounds good.

Like Janine_S, I have been blessed with good health. My sister passed from ALS when she was 66 and had just retired. I know she would have lived fully any years given to her.

I am not sure also. I have led a rather healthy 80+ years to I don’t know how I would feel if I was in Walt’s situation. However, I am really close to my family core and I may take the chance if it meant being able to experience something special with my girls.

I am unable to determine a number of years, but like Walt the opportunity to actively participate in life events with loved ones would be a huge motivation to reset.

While I can’t answer in terms of the number of years, I suspect that I would take the opportunity to participate in further life events too.

That is another difficult question. I understand how the others would want more healthier years but there would always dread the onset of the illness that would eventually face again.

I’d probably make the same decision/calculation as Walt did. To get many years with a healthy body, even knowing the disease was coming for me again, would likely be worth it. I might also opine that in some years a cure might be found for MS so that I wouldn’t necessarily have to repeat the experience. Then I’d have 25 full years of good health-unless something else got me in the interim!

That is such a hard question. I got exactly why he wanted to reset, but I also wondered how tough it would be knowing what the ultimate outcome would be.
