It’s clear from the prologue that Andy isn’t the murderer and that he definitely saw something or someone leaving the scene of the crime. What was your working theory about who killed Brandon? Did it change over the course of the novel?

In the beginning, I thought Brandon was part of a drug deal or other type of illegal scheme. I thought Andy saw a person leaving the scene. My first thoughts changed a lot about 2/3 through the book.

Ditto to Cheryl and Dee. We knew Andy wasn’t the murderer so drugs seemed a likely reason.

First of all, shouldn’t people considered innocent until proven guilty! It was hard ti believe such a creature killed Brandon. I always thought there was more to the story, maybe a person dressed up as the creature. I knew there was probably a human cause that Morgan would figure out. Remember Morgan was falsely accused of murdering her parents. She emphasized with Andy and wanted to give him the benefit of her self doubt.

I thought that at first also. I think I watched too much Scooby doo as a girl
