Is there a quote or scene in the novel that stood out for you? Why do you suppose it resonated?

I particulary liked the scene where Mme Moreau opens up to Edie about her life and the mysterious basement activities.

I enjoyed the scene where Hugo shares his photographs with Edith and his reason for taking them-wanted to capture the history before it disappears. I, too, am an avid photographer of old things for the same reason, I think.

When Edie finally sings in public was so joyful.
