How would you describe the connection between the kingdomfolk and their land?
They loved each other and their land. They took care of the land and each other.
The land is not simply property to them; it represents freedom, safety, and the ability to shape their own lives after generations of having no control over their bodies or labor. It is a place where they can build homes, raise families, and establish a community defined by their own values. Because of this, the land becomes intertwined with their identity and dignity. Protecting it is not just about preserving wealth or resources, but about safeguarding the autonomy and hope that the community fought so hard to create.
That land was their place of safety. It was sacred to them, I think.
The land was the kingdom folks’ sustenance, literally and figuratively. They were able to live off of the land, raising food and harvesting wood to construct buildings for their town. Having their own place, with the ability to govern themselves, gave them mental peace.
