How long to read a book?

How long does it take you to read a book?

It takes me at least three days - I have never finished a book in one day like so many friends of mine do. Not sure how they do it except for reading all day??

What about YOU?

Depends on the length of the book, LOL. I read about 35 pages an hour, and I can generally get in 2-3 hours of reading a day (so 70-100-ish pages, so for most books 3-4 days).

This comes from my days of being a mass-transit commuter. I needed to know when I was going to finish a book so I was never out of reading material.

Depends on the book (the length, the complexity, etc.) as well as what else is going on in the day to day life.

I look more at how many pages I read within a certain timeframe. I’m a fairly fast reader so if it’s a 250-300 page book that really engages me, I’ll read it in an afternoon-evening. But if it doesn’t capture my interest, but I have to finish it for book club, etc., it might take me a week or two.

The interest level does have a MAJOR factor.

Completely agree on that.

It depends on the book, and other activities I’m doing. I have read a book in 24 hours, and then sometime a week.

It’s not about how many books you get through. It’s about how many books get through to you.

Perfect!!

So true!! Great comment!!

Time to read a book depends on the genre and how much I’m loving the he characters and plot. Suspense stories are devoured, novels that I have become a part of are savored.

I love when the book pulls you in and you are right there with the characters and the setting.

GREAT comment!!

That’s dependent on whether hhe book really grabs me, what’s going on in my life and lastly, the length of the book.
