Have you read many of the books mentioned in the novel? (Click here for a list) Did you find titles you added to your “to be read” list?

I have read several of the books mentioned in the novel, including Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, War and Peace, Demon Copperhead, The Handmaids Tale, and To Kill a Mockingbird. A Covenant of Water is on my shelf of books waiting to be read. I would like to read a couple of the books mentioned that I haven’t read: The Year of Magical Thinking and My Name is Leon. The Year of Magical Thinking is one that I’ve wanted to read for some time, while My Name is Leon is new to me.

I’ve read thirteen of them. The book actually made me curious about the Bridgerton series, since I enjoy Pride and Prejudice so much. I don’t read a lot of romance, but every now and then I do get a craving.

I’ve only read a few: Demon Copperhead, War and Peace, and Charlotte’s Web*.* I started The Handmaid’s Tale but had to put that one down. The books added to my TBR list including One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Rebecca, Anxious People, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, Brave New World, A Murder is Announced. The question now is: which one to read first?

I have only read a few. I kept thinking I really should be remembering these and then started keeping track of the books mentioned. Thank you for your complete list - makes it much easier for me!

Thank you for the list - I had no idea so many were mentioned. I have read several.

The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion
Lord of the Flies by Williams Golding
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Charlotte’s Web by E B White
Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver
A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie
Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

War and Peace has been in my Kindle library for years, decades even, might be time to read it.

Many thanks to those who provided the list here!! I have read of the books in the novel, but not all.

I have also read quite a few of the books listed, some of the classics I read many, many years ago. Not a fan of classics, generally! So I have read more of the current ones, like Eleanor Oliphant and Demon Copperhead.

I too have read most of them but there were a few new titles I wasn’t familiar with. “So many books…. So little time”

I’ve only read ten of the books listed, but there are at least five more I’ll add to my list. Another book I’d recommend is The Curious Incident if the Dig in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon. Excellent book.

I have read many but not all of the books mentioned in the novel. Demon Copperhead has been sitting on one of my book shelves for several years but after reading Frank’s comments on the book, I’m going to start it as soon as I finish my current reads,

I have read most of the books mentioned in the book. I keep hearing great things about Demon Copperhead but since I was not a fan of David copperfield I haven’t read it …..yet!

I have read about half of the books mentioned in the novel but didn’t find any new ones to add to my tbr list.

I’ve read a handful of the books mentioned, but I’ve made a list of others I’m interested in that were mentioned in the book.
