Have you read any of Shana Abé’s previous novels, and if so, how do they compare to A Crown of Stars?
I will be reading the other books this author has written. One of my favorite things about Bookbrowse is that it introduces me to new authors like Shana Abe.
I will be reading other books written by the author and discovering other books about less known events, perhaps with books discussed on BookBrowse.
This is the first of her books I have read, but I will be reading more.
I have not read any of her other books. But I plan to read more as I enjoyed her style of writing.
I have not read any of her previous books, but I’m looking forward to reading what else she has to offer. Her writing is poetic and well-researched, both attributes which I admire in historical fiction.
I have not , but I enjoyed this book so much I will be looking forward to reading them. I am also adding this to our DAR book club list.
Ditto! My TBR pile just keeps getting bigger, but it’s all good.
I have not read her other works. I had heard An American Beauty was good. I am planning on reading it. I doubt I will read her earliest work, which is a trilogy of fantasy. I am glad the author found her space, and I look forward to what else she will be writing. Thanks to book browse for the introduction to a new author.
Also, I requested my local library buy this book and they are doing that. I am glad others will find her work. If anyone else has the ability, you might want to encourage your local library to buy a copy so others can find her.
I have not read Shana Abe before but enjoyed the book so much I will be looking for more.
This is the first book I’ve read of hers. Does anyone have any specific recommendations of her other books? I’m going to check my library this week to see what they have.
This was the first book I read by this author and I’m excited to read her other books since I enjoyed this one so much.
Have not read any of the author’s other books but will be adding some to my want to read list. It’s always a treat to find an author new to me.
I read The Second Mrs. Astor. I was impressed in both novels by the women the author features and their ability to transcend strict societal norms of their times to achieve a fulfilling life.
I read The Second Mrs. Astor and that is what led me to request this book. I felt that the pace of both books was very similar and the focus was on strong women in a man’s world and how they navigated through it. Both books took me about 1/3 of the way to really get into the story and look forward to reading the rest, but they were both worth the read.
I have read and enjoyed her other novels An American Beauty and The Second Mrs Astor.
For some strange reason and much frustration since the majority of the readers in this discussion
loved A Crown of Stars however I am 50% into the book and I keep following asleep while reading.
.
This is the first book I have read by this author. I enjoyed it.
I have not read any of her other novels, but “The Second Mrs. Astor” is on my list.
I have read The Second Mrs. Astor so I was looking forward to reading this book as well .
I have not read any of this author’s other books. This was my first experience enjoying her work.
