Eunice and Polly formed an alliance to achieve a common goal even though they were on opposite sides of the law. What characteristics helped them to set aside their differences and work together?
Both Eunice and Polly were very driven. Eunice was driven by justice, success in her career, and putting Lucky Luciano behind bars. Polly was driven to protect the women in her employ and to protect her business. Both Polly and Eunice had empathy. Eunice had empathy for the women testifying (including Polly) and Polly had empathy for the women she employed.

The two women were judged as “lesser” by society. Each woman seemed to focus less on judging each other, perhaps based on how they have been stereotyped in the past. They were able to avoid or quickly get past judgments of each other in order to achieve a common goal.

Both women were strong personalities and driven to succeed and to protect those they loved. Eunice was determined to protect her girls and the Lion and Eunice her son as well as her husband. Both wanted jusctice.
Polly and Eunice were both strong women in their fields and fortunately realized that they were able to help each other get rid of someone that was making both of their lives difficult.
They were both strong willed women who were successful in their chosen careers. They both had to combat issues (albeit very different issues) to get what they wanted to achieve. And they both cared about the women. And I think they respected each other.
The strongest quality the two women held in common was their desire for truth and justice. This idea was simple to see for Eunice but it took awhile for this to be evident for Polly. The truth and justice that Polly had was rooted in the human condition. Eunice had the same goal but she was driven by the need to be seen and heard. Neither one was right or wrong, better or worse but lead to an exciting display of driven, focused women working together to bring down a massive crime organization.
Both ladies were driven to succeed in life; they were both stubborn, like-minded and wanted the best for the folks in their lives. Polly cared deeply for her girls, Eunice loved her family very much, but also had to prove to herself that her career mattered. I applaud their unlikely alliance in maker the the lives of others safer and treating Polly’s ladies as human beings, not commodities.
As discussed in response to other questions, they were both motivated by self-interest, but they also shared a desire to help women who were trapped in prostitution due to the lack of opportunities afforded them to earn a living wage in other jobs. They were abused, disrespected, and often trapped, so both Polly and Eunice had altruistic motives. The two women were very much alike with regard to their tenacity, determination, dedication, and resilience.
