Do you prefer reading soft copied literature or hard backs?
I do both but honestly prefer hard backs. Books I can feel and touch. It creates for me; a kind of connection to the stories while my imaginations bloom from page to page.
I have trouble reading either paperback or hardbacks. I have arthritis in my hands that makes it difficult to hold them. Plus I like making notes while I read, and that’s too challenging with physical copies. For my reading style, my Kindle works the best.
I was a diehard physical book fan, preferably hard copy; however, after moving to Dallas with all the traffic and crazy drivers, I borrow e-books from the public library. BB has been generous in sending books to read for online discussions. I’ve noticed such tiny, wee fonts, especially in the paperbacks.
I definitely prefer a book with pages and a cover that I can hold in my hands. I like hardcovers because of their substantiality, but also like paperbacks because they are a little easier to manage when reading in bed
Kim,I agree my IPAD has both a kindle and a nook. I prefer kindle because the books are less expensive.
It is part of my night ritual because I am a night owl and I am able to read while my husband wants to be in bed around 10pm.
Also he sleeps through the night when I have my usual 3am wake ups.
I do purchase hardback copies of books I think I would like for research. I did buy Of Arms and Artists: American Revolution Through the Eyes of Painters by Paul Staiti. The book contains wonderful copies do the paintings of the battles and portraits of our Founding Fathers.
