Do you prefer reading soft or hard copies?

Do you prefer reading soft copied literature or hard backs?

I do both but honestly prefer hard backs. Books I can feel and touch. It creates for me; a kind of connection to the stories while my imaginations bloom from page to page.

So which do you really prefer?

I have trouble reading either paperback or hardbacks. I have arthritis in my hands that makes it difficult to hold them. Plus I like making notes while I read, and that’s too challenging with physical copies. For my reading style, my Kindle works the best.

I perfectly understand you….and your style is commendably Valid. Wishing you well for always :victory_hand:t5:

I was a diehard physical book fan, preferably hard copy; however, after moving to Dallas with all the traffic and crazy drivers, I borrow e-books from the public library. BB has been generous in sending books to read for online discussions. I’ve noticed such tiny, wee fonts, especially in the paperbacks.

In general, hard copies. I dislike reading on my Kindle or iPad. I like the feel of a book in my hand.

Interesting. Situational changes can sure alter or influence our interests and preferences. Keep reading anyways and regardless.

I perfectly understand where you’re coming from and your preference is absolutely valid. Keep living the best you can and keep reading :victory_hand:t5:.

I am definitely a digital format reader, strongly preferring ebooks and audiobooks. Rarely do I pick up a physical copy anymore.

Good one. It’s swift and I’d recommend….but.

It works for you and that’s what matters.

Keep reading champ:victory_hand:t5:.

I actually like them both equally.

I definitely prefer a book with pages and a cover that I can hold in my hands. I like hardcovers because of their substantiality, but also like paperbacks because they are a little easier to manage when reading in bed

Kim,I agree my IPAD has both a kindle and a nook. I prefer kindle because the books are less expensive.
It is part of my night ritual because I am a night owl and I am able to read while my husband wants to be in bed around 10pm.
Also he sleeps through the night when I have my usual 3am wake ups.

Very relatable.:+1:t5:

I absolutely get you.

Most times we just want a mental, physical and emotional connection to it all for the ultimate satisfaction.

Nice one. A smarter way to live in a fast and smart world. And your preference is valid.

Sometimes we just love the sentiments attached to owning , seeing and feeling copies of books we have read or are currently reading.

Either ways; keep being amazing :victory_hand:t5:.

I do purchase hardback copies of books I think I would like for research. I did buy Of Arms and Artists: American Revolution Through the Eyes of Painters by Paul Staiti. The book contains wonderful copies do the paintings of the battles and portraits of our Founding Fathers.
