Do you live in or near an area that celebrates a cryptid, or have you traveled to a festival that revolves around one? If so, which one, and how do they venerate it?

I live in the Pacific Northwest, so our big cryptic out here is Bigfoot. Not that long ago I was a few miles north on vacation when we stumbled on a Sasquatch Festival, with lots of crafts and a parade. I’ve since learned that there used to be a huge Sasquatch Music Festival here each Memorial Day (it sadly went away during COVID and never returned).

I had the fun of visiting Loch Ness in Scotland. There were Nessie souvenirs everywhere, anything you could ever want.

I thought the answer was no but I googled this and found out the there is a Lake Chelan Dragon. I live in Wenatchee Wa 45 minutes away from Lake Chelan. When my boys were young we would go to the lake once a week during summer! I wish we had known about the dragon then, they would have loved it!!!

I live just south of Wisconsin. I had not heard of the creature. I have loaned the book to a friend. I am hoping to encourage a trip to visit the town. I think it would be a hoot

No, I don’t. I know of celebrations of butterflies but I don’t think they fall into this grouping.
