Do you feel any of Lottie’s murders were justified, and if so, which one(s)? Which one(s) did you find the most disturbing?

Murder is never justified. Lottie murdered anyone who created an inconvience for her, again and again and again - ridiculous. Burning bodies in her fireplace??? How did no one ever notice or question this?
Not at all. As the others have mentioned murder is never justified.
I agree with the others, none of the murders were justified and I was disturbed by all of them! Maybe the most by the girl who was lost who trusted her to give her some directions and a place to stay, but instead was murdered when she told her story too many times. Yikes!
Again, I agree with others. No justification for any of them. I pity her neighbors in Oak Manor.
Taking another’s life is never justified.
There is no justification for any of the murders she committed.
Maybe justified isn’t the right word. Maybe understandable provides room for people to get on board. That being said, the first one was the most disturbing and the hardest to rationalize, while Burke’s demise might be the one I most understood.

And when I think thru all the murders, Burke was the common thread.
All of the murders were disturbing…her planning was the most disturbing part. Since this is only fantasy I believe that her murder of Burke was probably the most justified of all - if she didnt kill him he would have killed her.
None of them were justified. I thought she really jumped the gun when she summarily did away with Plum. There wasn’t much foresight in simply letting her emotions get the better of her She seemed to put more thought into the others outlined in the book. Not much, but a bit more than her instant kill of Plum.
No, they weren’t justified except in her psychopathic mind. In her estimation, her actions were completely justified and, indeed, required in order to protect herself and preserve the quiet life she valued. They were all disturbing, but I was probably the most disappointed about Burke.
