Devlin insists on simply finding a hotel, while Gabrielle prefers to check out the reviews for a place first. What does this say about their respective personalities, in your opinion? Which of the two are you more like?
I think Devlin was a more fly by the seat of your pants while Gabrielle is more cautious.
Devlin just saw the hotel as a place to stay on the temporary basis. Gabrielle saw the stay as an experience and wanted to be sure she would be comfortable staying at the hotel. I am DEFINITELY a Gabrielle. I never book any hotel without checking the reviews first! 
Devin was just go for it, get it done. Gabrielle wants more information. She wants to make the correct decision. Devin if it is a bad decision, oh well!
One personality is a planner and doesn’t like to take risks while the other is to take life as it happens. I can relate more to Gabrielle but can appreciate Devlin’s approach. I am more comfortable planning but have found unexpected and enjoyable experiences from letting things unfold and going with the flow!
I think Devlin’s approach is more for someone who leaves things to chance. Gabrielle seemed to be more of a careful planner. I am more like Gabrielle, at least with major things. For example, I may go to new restaurants or shopping areas without checking reviews. But a hotel is a bigger expense and amount of time. I want to know what I am getting!
Some people like to explore and some like to know what they are going to encounter. Both personalities are fine. I am more like Gabrielle.
It shows how different they are. This often make a match since my husband and I are like this. He’s the one meticulously checking reviews and I go with the vibes.
Gabrielle has to be “sure” about things, to think she knows how they will work and turn out, etc – I think it’s her way of protecting herself from repeating any of her past experiences which hurt her so much. Devlin, on the other hand, is more relaxed about life (at least he seemed that way until the violin showed up in his life), and he’s willing to take chances and to try other things.
Gabrielle is a researcher. Due diligence is important to her, while Devlin just wants a place to spend the night. I am more like Gabrielle when traveling.
I am more like Gabrielle. I research all the hotels that I am interested in to find the best price, locations, and amenities.
